“The best way to predict the future is to create it for yourself.”
Optimism, drive and dedication have been the cornerstone of Bud Ravitz’s life, both professionally and personally. Never one to watch from the bleachers, Bud has always had the mindset of a leader and the willingness to take action where needed. As a project manager for one of the largest telecoms, Bud oversees multi-million dollar, multi-year projects. His hands-off management style encourages creative thinking and initiative by his staff, resulting in successful project completion, and satisfaction among all that work with and for him.
“We have more in common than what divides us”
Bud Ravitz welcomes the opportunity to work hard for the community he loves, focusing on the needs of all Morris Township residents, regardless of their political affiliation. We all want our community to continue to thrive, and be the hometown to which we love to come home, each night.
“The greatest danger to our future is apathy.” - Jane Goodall
“Think globally, act locally”, is exactly what Bud Ravitz has been doing since becoming a Morris Township resident. Bud is an active member of the Morris Township Democratic Committee, and he and his wife Lee are District 6 representatives. You may have met Bud and Lee during last year’s campaign, canvassing neighborhoods and ringing doorbells. One of Bud’s favorite things is to engage in conversation about politics, whether it be about local goings-on or national issues. He looks forward to meeting you! You’ll find Bud at most every Township Committee meeting and Planning Board meeting, listening to and learning about the concerns of all Morris Township residents and the challenges the committee faces.
“Exploration before experience. Dream it. Live it. Be it.”
With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Bud is a perpetual student. He has earned a Masters of Science in Systems Analysis and a Masters of Arts in Education Administration. He is an avid reader of the news, both domestic and international, and has a keen sense of how events and actions taken nationally or globally may affect us locally.
“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.“ - Joseph Campbell
Bud Ravitz was born and raised in New Jersey. While he’s not originally from Morris Township, he has been heard to say “this is my favorite of all the places I’ve ever lived”. Bud is the proud father of three children. Their successes and independent spirits are a testament to Bud’s dedication as a father and guide for them, as they became active and engaged members of their communities. Bud and Lee take advantage of everything that Morris Township and Morristown have to offer, regularly enjoying fine dining, theater and shopping.
